Like other penguins, Isidro Bunin moved to Buenos Aires when Néstor Kirchner won the presidency. In 2003, he debuted with a minor charge in the former SIDE, led by Héctor Icazuriaga. Then he was private secretary of Cristina Kirchner and became the featured consultant of Daniel Muñoz and the man of trust. All testimonials give him a key role in the maneuver to wash the money of corruption: he organized private meetings at Muñoz, called Juan Manuel Campillo to dissolve companies established abroad, and maintained close ties with the former president, whom he visited in his apartment located in Uruguay Street and Juncal streets.
Bunin came to the Kirchner's home through his mother, former nurse of Florencia Kirchner. In 2005, he began working with the then Senator, Cristina Kirchner, who appointed him private secretary as soon as he badumed the presidency. In his own statement before Judge Claudio Bonadio, he presented a fact until then unknown: Between 2003 and 2005, he worked in the Intelligence Secretariat (formerly SIDE). "I have fulfilled duties with Dr. Icazuriaga," Bunin explained.
In December 2011, Bounine has stepped aside. He was "tired of politics" and had the intention of "forming a family".
It was not long before embarking on private activity. He first opened a consulting firm with Pablo Fernando Sama. In this office located in San Martín 569, he had at least one meeting with Campillo. And then they met at Muñoz's house.
Before justice, Bunin gave another version of these meetings: He said that Campillo's intention was to return to the government: "He wanted to be part of the government of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Once, Cristina Fernández understood Campillo's interest in being part of the project, but she did not say anything about it."
Campillo and Bunin had known each other since the time of Santa Cruz. The first had given work to Bunine's mother and sister in the provincial treasury. When they saw each other again, mistrust was reciprocal. The former secretary of Cristina wrote to him by telegram until they coordinate the first meeting.
In July 2012, Bounine created the real estate agency "Epico Propiedades" with his partner, the clerk Cecilia Alejandra Velasco. Both own 83% of the share capital. In her story before the judge, the former private secretary of Cristina was responsible for pointing out that none of the real estate transactions related to Muñoz has pbaded through this office.
After Muñoz's death, Bunin continued to grow. In 2017, he created a software company in the province of Mendoza with Sebastián Rasilla, Gustavo Campana, Juan Manuel Peña and Oscar Campana.
Municoy met Bounine at Muñoz's and again met in the intensive therapy waiting room of the German hospital, two days before the death of the former private secretary of Néstor . That day, Municoy was called to sign a power in favor of Miguel Ángel Plo's study. The tension was breathed in the environment.
A few hours later, Bunin went to the United States and was not present on the day of Muñoz's death.
In his first testimony before the judge, on January 15, Municoy recounted a conversation he had with Carolina Pochetti, who had confessed to the central role of Bunin: "He told me that they were talking about Campillo's fees. He also added that, as Isidro was a friend of Muñoz, he was the person who kept the money. That when she had to pay something, she asked Bunin for money"
Campillo also entrusted the former secretary of Cristina with an important role: "He has always attended all the meetings, he has always participated in meetings in Argentina, Muñoz always told me that his interlocutor was Bunin, that if Muñoz n was not there, Bunin was speaking for him, and in his absence he spoke to Bunin. "
The rest of his words are already known: the former Minister of Finance Santa Cruz confessed that Bunin called to dissolve companies established abroad and paid him 200,000 eurosalthough I asked for between $ 5 and $ 7 million to "collaborate". Campillo recently counted the money when he arrived home: "When I received the payment, I did not count the money and I took the money that was in a sealed envelope with tape and I lanked it. I kept in the safe, a place where I realized that it was the euro and not dollars ".
Bunin denies for the moment everything. He says that he has never paid Campillo and that he has tried to get away from the former president. The next few days will be crucial to find out if you are on the list of repentants.
