On day one of new measures to tackle the second wave of coronavirus, the national government reported that will extend the ban on entry into the country for foreign tourists from tomorrow. It will be until April 30.

Regarding the air arrivals, foreigners must mobilize in the form of bubbles in the country and comply with health protocols, while Argentines will be required to perform antigen tests at least every 15 days or less.

As happened, every resident who returns to the country will have to undergo a test in order to be able to board the plane to Argentina. In addition, a test must be done on arrival and another on the seventh day of admission. The cost of both will be the responsibility of the passenger.

Those who test positive, at the time of entry, should perform another genomic sequencing test and, with their close contacts, perform isolation at locations indicated by national authorities, until their safe transfer to the country. residence if applicable. The stay in these places and the sequencing test will also be the responsibility of the passenger.

On the other hand, in the event that they are negative on the test, upon admission, they will take home isolation – they are obliged to self-isolate for 10 days, from the first test carried out in the country of origin – , and they will have to take a new test to complete it.

The authorities will check that each passenger performs compulsory isolation. If a violation is verified, a criminal complaint in accordance with art. 205 and 239 of the Penal Code (for violation of measures against epidemics and disobedience to public authority).
