The request was made through an offshore company linked to Jorge Cupeiro and Zulemita Menem, Nustal Enterprises, to open the car sales business 23 years ago.

These were two companies in which Cupeiro appeared as a partner of the daughter of former president Menem. It is Núñez Autos SA and Videncia SA. both registered at Avenida Figueroa Alcorta 7576 of the city of Buenos Aires.

As Zulemita explained before consulting the journalists of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICJ) When Nuñez Autos SA started its activity, the company “received a loan which appears in the books of the Guaranty Trust Bank and which was guaranteed by Nustal Enterprises whose funds were provided by Cupeiro”.

From the environment of the former TC rider, they made no statement before consulting reporters.

This Nigerian bank was born in 1990 as a financial institution and it was not until 2002, three years after granting the loan to Cupeiro, that it obtained authorization to operate as a bank in the whole world.

Zulemita also claimed that “the loan was duly canceled” and that the collateral was released by her then partner. “Nustal Enterprises was from Cupeiro, not mine, and the bank account never received any funds from my parents or a family member,” he said.

These financial structures were created under the guidance of the law firm Alemán, Cordero, Galindo & Lee (Alcogal), the Panamanian law firm that provides services and advice in this type of business.

According to the investigation, in connection with these companies, the daughter of the former president handed over a promissory note for a debt of Emir Yoma as “family debt”.

It was also reported that from these companies Zulemita was operating a power of attorney for the sale of a boat that she had with her Italian ex-husband Paolo Bertoldi and was managing real estate rental contracts in Miami with her mother Zulema Yoma. .
