The hitmen shot and killed the “killer owls”

Mileydis Aldana, 21, known as the “Killer Owl” or “La Gata Verdolaga” was killed in Sucre, Colombia.

Last June, an owl was recorded beheading, images that went viral and sparked outrage in the country.

After this episode, the woman reported death threats on several occasions. In the afternoon of Sunday, December 13, she was murdered in the Luis Carlos Galán neighborhood of the municipality of Corozal, Sucre, Colombia.

According to Colombian media reports, two hitmen on a motorcycle approached Aldana and shot him six times.

Local police are investigating the murder, which has not yet been confirmed to be linked to the deaths of the animals.

For its part, El Universal said that the woman who was the subject of an investigation for the crime of animal abuse had denounced via social networks that she had threatened her with death.

A few months ago, Aldana showed how she had beheaded the bird. Then he appeared holding the owl’s head in one hand and the rest of the body in the other.

“They’re just criticizing me, ask. Don’t criticize so much,” the young woman said. Then he deleted the post from his Facebook account.
