The indecent persecution of Lula | The PT appealed and the …

Judge Carolina Lebbos occupies in Curitiba, capital of the southern and very conservative province of Paraná, the same armchair that belonged to her colleague of the time, Sergio Moro. The sentence was sentenced from this chair, without any evidence, to former President Lula da Silva.

Earlier today, Carolina Lebbos responded to a request from the federal police so that Lula, who is being held in a room of the regional superintendency of the body, be transferred to San Pablo.

Federal police report to the Department of Justice and Public Safety. The presidency of the minister is occupied by Sergio Moro, badigned by the far-right president Jair Bolsonado. After all, Bolsonaro was elected because Lula, the absolute favorite of all last year's polls, could not argue.

Evidence that Glenn Greenwald's digital publication 'The Intercept' has been fleeing since the beginning of June clearly shows that the trial that sentenced Lula was totally manipulated by Judge Moro and the prosecution. More specifically, the judge coordinated all the stages of the prosecution, in violation of the most basic rules of law.

His behavior, as well as that of the alleged prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol, was at least indecent. And absolutely illegal.

Last April, the current Minister replaced the Superintendent of the Federal Police in Curitiba. The new superintendent, Luciano Flores, is the one who asked for the transfer of Lula to San Pablo.

Lebbos, who replaced Moro in court, complied and rejected the defense's request. So, once transferred to San Pablo, Lula was driven to facilities similar to those he occupies in Curitiba. He said that the question would be in charge of the justice of St. Paul.

The judge in charge, Paulo de Almeida Sorci, was appointed several months ago by Minister Moro to sit on the national justice council.

His decision was radical: he decided that Lula be taken to Tremembé Prison, a town in the province of San Pablo, famous for harboring some of the worst criminals in the country. The girl who killed the parents, the couple who threw a four-year-old girl through the window of her apartment, the gynecologist who raped countless patients, a former seminarian who murdered the father, that kind of people .

As a former president, Lula is entitled to a special prison. But the judge of Curitiba and his pair of San Pablo decided not to do it.

After all, the rules are the rules, but Lula is Lula. And Moro bitter.

That is to say that where you want the absurdity of the decision to be examined, everything revolves around the current Minister of Justice, who has already clearly verified that he did not know the least principles of ethics. Unscrupulous is an adjective too sweet to describe his behavior.

It is clear that neither the Superintendent of the Federal Police in Curitiba, nor the judge in charge of the case, would adopt such a decision – brutal and unjustifiable from any point of view – without informing at least Moro advance. And that Moro would not fail to inform the totally unbalanced ultra-right who presides over this poor country.

Most likely, however, is that everything has been reversed: Jair Bolsonaro had left, in his psychopathy more and more obvious, the determination that Moro and his henchmen had brought Lula into a prison where his life would be in danger. permanent

In the late afternoon, the Federal Supreme Court vetoed, by ten votes to one, the transfer of Lula da Silva under conditions determined by Moro or, that is, Bolsonaro. .

After months and months of ignorance and cowardly silence, the Supreme Court decided to put a stop to the absurdities of this whole story around Lula.

But beware: the fury of Bolsonaro, Moro and other spoils against the former president have no limit. And there is no sign that it will ever end.

Either the same Supreme Court once invalidates the flawed trial and decides that another action is pending against the former president, otherwise the indecency will not cease.
