"The international community needs Argentina as a reliable partner" | Chronic

As part of the opening of the Second United Nations High-level Conference on South-South Cooperation, which was held at the Exhibition and Congress Center of the City of Buenos Aires, the President Mauricio Macri he said that "Argentina is a reliable partner" and stressed the importance of dialogue and consensus for "improve the lives of people".

"I want to say again that you can count on Argentina to collaborate on these issues, for which we can make a constructive contribution, as well as to listen to what we can learn.", held to begin his presentation in the presence of Heads of State, Foreign Ministers and representatives of 193 countries.

He also asked that the world "to see everything we need to give, our willingness to work, grow and learn"after pointing out that "The goal is clear: to generate and propose solutions to improve the lives of our employees".

Macri said that Argentina "shows that the international community needs our country as a reliable partner"after declaring that "Cooperation is an excellent tool to promote the horizontal link with different levels of development".

In addition, he felt that "Under the pretext of creating a bridge in diversity and highlighting the role of South-South cooperation, triangular cooperation can advance the 20-30 cooperation program"as was raised at the G-20 meeting held last year in the country.

Argentina, considered a benchmark in technical cooperation worldwide, is developing more than 165 projects in 40 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia in various fields such as agribusiness, biotechnology, health, human rights, environment and productive technologies.

The head of state also stressed the role of the Argentine Fund for International Cooperation, which has allowed to develop about 10,800 projects with more than 80 countries. "We have a great opportunity to strengthen a system that allows us to exchange knowledge and strengthen our opportunities ", has explained.

In addition, he mentioned the cooperation that could lead us to a better future, after having indicated that "We live in an increasingly interdependent world and face complex challenges, which require renewed efforts to promote a sincere and constructive dialogue in which we present ourselves as development partners".

Before the foreign personalities, the president concluded: "I am convinced that in dialogue and shared interests we can find a way to achieve the well-being and prosperity of our people." Macri then felt that it was "time to find new areas of cooperation".

Regarded as the most important cooperation summit of the emerging world, participants will debate until Friday and badyze the exchange of experiences and knowledge to build state capacity. It also means the possibility of agreeing on a work plan and implementing the agreed consensus under the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Agreement and the G20.

Key themes include sustainable food, human resource training, technological change, climate sustainability, gender equality, development finance and inclusive business.
