Adriana Belmonte and Diego Chomnalez, the parents of the 14-year-old girl murdered in 2014, traveled to Uruguay again, where Lola was on vacation at the time of her badbadination, to meet the new prosecutor in charge of the case, following the Patricia Sosa's imminent retirement, I have conducted the investigation so far.

Jorge Vaz, who will be in charge, received this Tuesday at the office of the prosecutor of the city of Rocha at the wedding and his lawyer, Juan Raúl Williman. They gave him the delivery a technical report prepared by Argentine forensic experts composed of a summary of the case, 5,000 pages and statements of 100 people, of which 40 were the subject of an investigation, and five conclusions.

"These are suggestions and contributions that could lead to a line of research," Vaz explained at a press conference. "This work will be taken into account, it is not done in the framework of an agreement between two states, we will take it as a great collaboration suggesting to deepen a line of research already carried out in the past."

In this way, the details of the case can be badyzed "from scratch", which remains unpunished four and a half years later. However, the cause –who already had five different prosecutors and judges, four police officers and dozens of detainees– starts to reactivate: Prosecutor Vaz ordered that the residents of Valizas and Aguas Dulces be questioned again.

This is linked to a new suspicion of Lola's parents. Adriana and Diego they believe that her daughter was killed by at least two people who currently live in these spas, Belmonte told the newspaper The country from Uruguay. They also suggested that there were people out there who know who were their attackers and their murderers. They believe that strangers approached their daughter to approach their daughter, then they murdered her.

In this line, the prosecutor explained to Lola's parents that he did not give any relevance to the DNA sample found in the briefcase that was in his daughter's backpack: "There may be people who participated in the crime and their blood does not match the sample". Belmonte and Chomnalez said after the meeting that "the investigation" was progressing ": "We believe we will see them in prison."

The last time we saw Lola, December 26, 2014, at noon, she decided, after a lunch with her godmother, her husband and his teenage son, on vacation in Valizas, to walk on the beach. He never came back from this walk and his body appeared two days later half buried under an acacia tree in the dunes: She had died asphyxiated by the sand and bore the marks of a dull knife in the body.
