The Israeli army killed two Palestinians in the Gaza protests

The Israeli army killed two Palestinians in Gaza Friday, one of them being a teenager, in protests that took place along the border between the Palestinian band and Israel, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

The deceased was identified as Ybadin Tahsin Abu Armana, 14, and Razi Abu Mustafa, 43 years old.

The Ministry of Health reported that 264 Palestinians had been injured during the demonstrations, 90 of whom had been shot dead by Israeli soldiers. Eleven of the wounded are in serious condition.

Since protests for the return of refugees began last March, 145 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli gunfire.

The Israeli army claimed to have attacked an observation post of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in northern Gaza in response to a sniper fire against Israeli forces.

According to Israeli forces, some 7,000 Palestinians participated in today's protests along the border, during which several violent riots took place. Protesters threw stones and burned tires.

During the protests, a group of Palestinians threw an incendiary balloon at an Israeli community in the Eshkol Regional Council, near the border with Gaza. The balloon caused a fire.

According to eyewitnesses in Gaza, a tank fired at a Hamas target, who controls the band, east of Gaza City, without causing casualties.

The Israeli army reported conducting an air strike in the east of Gaza City against a group of young Palestinians who threw incendiary balloons. (Sputnik)
