Former President and Senator Álvaro Uribe Vélez spoke on the CEP's refusal to extradite Jesus Santrich to the United States and on the request for immediate release of the former guerrillas.

Uribe Velez badured that the decision of the CEP shows that they have agreed on a co-government with the drug trafficking.

In a statement read by the former president, the Democratic Center regrets that the PEC prevents the extradition of Jesús Santrich, despite evidence of drug trafficking committed after the signing of the Havana agreements.

The former president claimed that these agreements created a government with drug trafficking, making it impossible for the executive to fight. It is at this point that the public order crisis derives in the name of the erroneous peace that aimed to hide those who now criticize the government.

He also argued that the award and the accepted salvage votes testified to a deep institutional crisis, perhaps unprecedented in the last 60 years.

Senator Uribe Velez said that this crisis of institutional destruction must be solved in the background, otherwise the recovery of the economy and the social fabric in which the national government is engaged are jeopardized.

He also explained that the CEP before the appeal of the Attorney General should simply accept the fact that the crime was post-agreement and refrain from judging the facts, which corresponds only to the country requesting the prosecution. ;extradition.

Finally, he said that this appeal should be launched without releasing Mr. Jesus Santrich.
