Fernandez reported that this radar is already operational, an instrument that can diagnose the state of the atmosphere in its coverage area. In this sense, he explained that it was a team ecodoppleSimilar to that of an "ultrasound of the atmosphere within its coverage radius", he said that having this information was able to detect certain events such as rains, storms, the amount of Humidity in the atmosphere, if it could cause storm, hail, among others. "All of these things can be detected through the use of a weather radar," he added.

He said that a clear diagnosis allows to act on what can happen in the short term (hours) or very short term (10 or 15 minutes, half an hour), in this way, the population can be alerted.

In the province

Fernandez explained that this equipment is part of a set of eleven meteorological radars that are distributed all over the country, radars such as Formosa, Bernanrdo Irigoyen and Corrientes, among which Misiones are the novelties. He added that everything was part of a national meteorological network "At the moment, the primary responsibility of the national state is to concentrate all information."

The expert added that Thanks to the institutional cooperation agreement concluded at the national level, the Misiones early warning system has access to updated data "we have to work a lot in terms of communication, because meteorological information is useless if we do not do not communicate them ".

He added that the radar itself does not measure rainfall or rain, but the efficiency in the atmosphere.

"His heart is pure artificial intelligence and we will know if it works well because automatic radar stations have been installed around the radar and actually measure the accumulation of precipitation," said the specialist.
