Fernandez reported that this radar is already operational, an instrument that can diagnose the state of the atmosphere in its coverage area. In this sense, he explained that it was a team ecodoppleSimilar to that of an "ultrasound of the atmosphere within its coverage radius", he said that having this information was able to detect certain events such as rains, storms, the amount of Humidity in the atmosphere, if it could cause storm, hail, among others. "All of these things can be detected through the use of a weather radar," he added.

He said that a clear diagnosis allows to act on what can happen in the short term (hours) or very short term (10 or 15 minutes, half an hour), in this way, the population can be alerted.

Fernandez explained that this equipment is part of a set of eleven meteorological radars that are distributed all over the country, radars such as Formosa, Bernanrdo Irigoyen and Corrientes, among which Misiones are the novelties.
