Chilean justice has confirmed the parole in favor of Natalia Guerra Jequier, a woman accused of parricide, after her newborn baby was sacrificed to a cult in 2012: they considered him “the antichrist”.

Information published by Radio Biobío indicates that the decision was addressed and confirmed by the Court of Appeal of the Municipality of San Miguel, located in the metropolitan area.

The woman was linked to this case after entering a mysterious group called the “sect of Colliguay”, whose leader was Ramón Castillo Gaete, a man who called himself “Antares de la Luz”.

In 2019, Natalia was arrested in a conspiracy on the outskirts of Santiago, where she remained in hiding for more than two years after being sentenced in 2017. Police said she She remained linked to some type of cult throughout this time despite her criminal past.

After her arrest, the woman was accused and was sentenced to 5 years of minor imprisonment in its maximum degree. She was detained in a women’s penitentiary in the municipality of San Joaquín, located in Santiago.

After his parole was ordered on Tuesday, the woman will have to carry out a regulatory control at the Support Center for Social Reintegration of the municipality of Puente Alto, also located in the metropolitan area.

“During these sessions, they took introspective journeys using a potent hallucinogen”

The beginnings of a macabre case

It comes approximately from the year 2009, when Castillo Gaete dialed it “Sect of Colliguay”, which was located in the city of the same name, located in the fifth region.

Before forming this group, the man who called himself “Antares of light” he was an exceptionally talented musician that after a trip to China in 2007, with the musical group “Amaru”, began a process of radical change in his personality. He became interested in oriental medicine.

From that moment, his brooding and troubled personality morphed into one more interested in spiritual healing. According to those who knew him, the character of Antares was “strong but charming”, and that he also had the power “to make people believe in him”.

A year and a half after his trip to China, according to the investigation file of this case, Ramón Castillo met Natalia Guerra and other followers who recognized him as a “spiritual leader”. For the value of 60,000 Chilean pesos (84 USD), Antares organized self-healing and self-knowledge seminars, which included meals, accommodation and other perks.

“During these sessions, they took introspective journeys using ayahuasca, a potent hallucinogen that distorted them both ocularly and audibly, ”a source said at the time.

The power of “Antares de la luz”

According to investigators who have closely followed this case, the “disciples” of Castillo Gaete they had a common denominator: They were young adults, professionals, handsome but lonely, and – according to sources close to the expertise – with certain family dysfunctions.

Taking advantage of the weakness of his supporters, He displayed a close but cold personality at the same time. The latter was perfect for the formation of the “sect of Colliguay”, because he began to exercise a “paternity mediated by the control of the will”. In other words, use them as “tools”.

To achieve the latter, he approached his supporters and made them detach themselves from their environment. For example, after a series of Ayahuasca shots, Antares told his “disciples” that their pets were bad and should be eliminated.

“He told them cats and dogs were bad … So they killed their animals by slaughtering them”

“He told them cats and dogs were bad … So they killed their animals by slaughtering them”, say the sources of the investigation.

After that, Castillo Gaete has urged his supporters to break with their partners. For example, Natalia Guerra and Pablo Undurraga (another cult member) were a couple. The chief ordered that they go their separate ways and they did not hesitate to do so. After that, Antares began sex with Natalia and the other women in the group.

The leader of the “Colliguay sect” also demanded to be guarded by his supporters.. According to data provided by the Quilpué prosecutor, Juan Emilio Gatica in 2013, members would have rented properties for their leader, They provided him with vehicles and asked him for loans to give him money.

In addition, the investigation succeeded in proving that Antares physically abused his followers if they engaged in behavior that they considered “inappropriate”. By punishing, He forced his disciples to undress and hit them 45 times. If they cried, he performed 3 more punches.

Sacrifice the “antichrist”

With ayahuasca ceremonies, Castillo Gaete also continued to have sex with the women in the group. He considered himself a supreme being, a bit like a “god” on earth, and he told them that if they got pregnant, the baby should be euthanized.

When he found out Natalia Guerra was having a baby, Antares exploded in rage: “Maybe it is Lucifer, now I’m going to catch it.” Behind that, cult leader ordered Natalia the baby to be born naturally and without any help.

But on November 21, 2012, the woman gave birth in a private health centerbecause she had problems before giving birth. Two days later, the minor was taken from the compound.

At 11:00 p.m. on November 23, 2012, around the town of Colliguay, located in the Fifth Region of Chile, the sect gathered to practice the most macabre rite in its history: murder the baby as a result of the relationship between Guerra and the leader of the group, who considered his own son to be “the antichrist”.

“Although her mouth was covered, the cry was heartbreaking”

“They had a place where negative waves were released. A kind of igloo tent with an open roof and a hole in the ground, where they put hot stones … With steam, they purified themselves ”, said a source who participated in the investigation.

Above this hole the group positioned the child, covered his mouth with adhesive tape so that his cries were not heard, and Antarès made sure not to touch the baby so as not to “contaminate” him.

“While everyone was crying, the board was removed and the live bus fell on the stones … Even though her mouth was covered, the cry was heartbreaking“Added case investigator. After that, the rest of the minor was dismembered.

The fall of the leader

The gradual fall of the Antares began the day after December 21, 2012, when supposedly the world would end according to the Mayans. As this clearly did not happen, some cult members broke up from the group, while the chief traveled to Peru to seek more medicine.

Being in Peru, Antares realized that the sister of one of the members was denouncing the cult, and that a judicial investigation had been opened against him and all those who made up the group.

May 1, 2013 the sub-prefect of the investigation police (PDI), Pedro Cuevas, communicated to all of Chile that the citizen Ramón Castillo Gaete, better known under the name of “Antares de la Luz”, had been found dead, hanging by the neck inside a house in the city of Cusco. He had never returned from Peru.

According to research, one of the last orders to his followers He sent it by e-mail, although he had already followed in his footsteps by the police: “I know it’s all known, so go crazy.”
