The macabre story of the sect that sacrificed a newborn in Chile: justice has just freed the mother

Chilean justice has confirmed the parole in favor of Natalia Guerra Jequier, a woman accused of parricide, after her newborn baby was sacrificed to a cult in 2012: they considered him “the antichrist”.

Information published by Radio Biobío indicates that the decision was addressed and confirmed by the Court of Appeal of the Municipality of San Miguel, located in the metropolitan area.

The woman was linked to this case after entering a mysterious group called the “sect of Colliguay”, whose leader was Ramón Castillo Gaete, a man who called himself “Antares de la Luz”.

In 2019, Natalia was arrested in a conspiracy on the outskirts of Santiago, where she remained in hiding for more than two years after being sentenced in 2017. Police said she She remained linked to some type of cult throughout this time despite her criminal past.

After her arrest, the woman was accused and was sentenced to 5 years of minor imprisonment in its maximum degree. She was detained in a women’s penitentiary in the municipality of San Joaquín, located in Santiago.

After his parole was ordered on Tuesday, the woman will have to carry out a regulatory control at the Support Center for Social Reintegration of the municipality of Puente Alto, also located in the metropolitan area.

The beginnings of a macabre case

It comes approximately from the year 2009, when Castillo Gaete dialed it “Sect of Colliguay”, which was located in the city of the same name, located in the fifth region.

A year and a half after his trip to China, according to the investigation file of this case, Ramón Castillo met Natalia Guerra and other followers who recognized him as a “spiritual leader”. The power of “Antares de la luz”

According to investigators who have closely followed this case, the “disciples” of Castillo Gaete they had a common denominator: They were young adults, professionals, handsome but lonely, and – according to sources close to the expertise – with certain family dysfunctions.

Taking advantage of the weakness of his supporters, He displayed a close but cold personality at the same time. The latter was perfect for the formation of the “sect of Colliguay”, because he began to exercise a “paternity mediated by the control of the will”. In other words, use them as “tools”.

To achieve the latter, he approached his supporters and made them detach themselves from their environment. For example, after a series of Ayahuasca shots, Antares told his “disciples” that their pets were bad and should be eliminated.
