The Argentine government announced Sunday that it would begin to receive complaints about possible human rights violations in Venezuela.

The task will fall to the Ministry of Justice, in charge of Germán Garavano. The agency will be responsible for collecting all the testimonials and information of people who have suffered or have knowledge of this type of events.

These data will then be badyzed and sent to the relevant international organizations for evaluation, with the aim of helping to put an end to these crimes and to remedy them, as officially stated.

If necessary, the identity of those who will attend the claim will be reserved, in accordance with global standards.

In addition, the Argentine authorities have invited different institutions of civil society to participate as observers of this operation.

According to the Government, this decision was taken in the context of the report prepared by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bacheletin which he strongly questions the situation in Venezuela.
