The man who burned alive in front of the White House is dead | Chronic

US authorities reported Thursday that the subject that had set itself alight by fire in the White House had died as a result of burns, which continue to be the subject of an investigation.

The victim has been identified as Arnav Gupta, A 33-year-old Hindu man who was wanted by his family because he was in a troubling emotional situation.

In a statement released Thursday, the US Parks Police Division, responsible for the matter, said the person died Wednesday afternoon of burns from the flames.

The suicide bombing, residing in Bethesda – a suburb of the capital in the state of Maryland – was the subject of an intense search by his family when this incident occurred, according to a message released Wednesday by the Montgomery County Police Department.

As his family explained, Gupta left home in the morning to an unknown destination. "Police are concerned about the physical and emotional well-being of Gupta"they add, implying that the person was suffering from mental disorders.

The incident occurred at 12:20 pm local time, in La Elipse Park, between the presidential mansion and the monument to George Washington, the iconic obelisk of the US capital.
