The millionaire sum that donates Disney to restore Notre Dame

The Walt Disney Company has announced that it would donate at least $ 5 million to rebuild Notre Dame.. And it is that the historic cathedral of Paris was destroyed on a large scale by a fire which apparently declared accidental Monday afternoon and that it could not be extinguished that Tuesday at dawn.

The generous sum that "gives" the largest entertainment company on the planet, which has in the capital of France its amusement park Disneyland Paris, adds to the nearly 900 million euros committed by different personalitiesbut especially to large donations from certain recognized companies.

"Notre Dame is a symbol of hope and beauty that has defined the heart of Paris and the soul of France for centuries, inspiring respect and reverence for its art and architecture and for its lasting place in human history, "said President Bob Iger. and Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, according to what the American news site The Hollywood Reporter has reproduced.

Disney's economic commitment, who brought to light the children's animation film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in 1996 (located in the unfortunate cathedral), is a little less important compared to the amounts promised by the magnates owners of clothing brands such as Gucci and Saint Laurent (100 million euros) or Louis Vuitton and Dior (200 million euros).

For his part, French President Emmanuel Macron has put in place a regulation to make transparent the circuit of these donations, which will be managed by four entities that will provide their services to the State: the Notre Dame Foundation, the Fondation du Heritage, the Foundation of France and the Center des musées nationaux.

Although this is only a hypothesis, the researchers believe that the flames originated from a short circuit generated by the scaffolding that the workers used to restore the upper part of the buildingand if the firefighters had taken half an hour longer, the damage would have been worse and even a collapse would have occurred.
