BALI.- The Indonesian Navy released a video of the crew of the wrecked submarine off Bali, showing sailors aboard the submersible singing just a few weeks ago.

This video, filmed aboard the “KRI Nanggala 402” sunk in the wreck of which the 53 crew members died, it shows sailors singing “Sampai Jumpa”, an Indonesian folk song whose title means “Goodbye”.

The one who was the commander of the submarine, Heri Oktavian, seems to be reunited with the group, near one of his subordinates who is playing the guitar.

“I’m not ready to miss you, I’m not ready to leave you,” they sing in chorus. “I wish you the best,” they add.

The video was filmed as a farewell message to the former commander of Indonesia’s submarine forces, whose successor took office in early March, armed forces spokesman Djawara Whimbo said.

The submarine, one of five in the Indonesian fleet, disappeared Wednesday as it prepared to participate in maneuvers off Bali.
