The municipality continues operations to prevent dengue fever

The Municipality of La Capitale reported that, as part of the urban sanitation program that it promotes, different areas of operations have jointly carried out a new prevention operation against the dengue mosquito transmitter.

The current campaign includes yesterday's fumigation, disposal, weeding and sensitization work in John Kennedy and Bosco I, II and III.

Over the next few days, the operation will be replicated in other areas of the city.

From the municipality, they reported that fumigation is not only done in parks, squares and streets, but also in the interior of houses, with the permission of the owners , where it is disinfected with larvicides.

The commune stressed that the tasks are complemented by awareness campaigns by health professionals who, house by house, provide information, advice and brochures for the eradication and prevention of dengue fever .

In this sense, from the commune, they asked the neighbors to adopt measures that help prevent the proliferation of the mosquito, such as controlling that water does not accumulate in pots , vases or fountains of domestic animals.

They also recommended throwing away any remaining containers and uncovering clogged gutters and drains. Similarly, it is advisable to bypbad yard lawns and gardens, to remove water from laces, sidewalks and terraces and to constantly use repellents and mosquito nets.

From the municipality, they pointed out that, despite the low temperatures, they should not stop taking action to fight the mosquito.
