The Vatican has finished a new search today for the remains of the young Italian who disappeared 36 years ago, Emanuela Orlandi, which is again negative because only bones older than 1900 have been found.

The Holy See announced today that during the excavation of the so-called "German cemetery", located a few meters from St. Peter's Basilica, he had found "no bone structure dating back to the end of 1800 ".

The case of Orlandi, a daughter of a missing Vatican employee, aged 15, on June 22, 1983, has since become one of the strangest mysteries of the last decades in Italy, with a great international impact.

Excavations in the ossuary, where were found "hundreds of bones" badyzed last week, took place after opening at the beginning of the month of two graves in search of the remains of Orlandi empty.

This Saturday, the forensic investigator, Giovanni Arcudi, "has completed the morphological badysis of the findings found in the ossuaries, several hundred partially intact bone structures and thousands of fragments," according to the Vatican.

"During forensic anthropological investigations, Professor Arcudi found no bone structure dating back to the end of 1800"the statement added.

The Orlandi family itself had asked to investigate a grave in the German cemetery after receiving a letter from a source that he keeps secret with indications of "angel investigation", referring to one of the tombstones of the ;in law.

With this order in hand, Vatican prosecutor Gian Pietro Milano had ordered to open the two graves to erase any possibility of error in the signaling, although they were discovered empty early July, the investigation thus resulted in the ossuary which is in the same structure.

Last year, the appearance of human bones in the Vatican nunciature in Italy fueled suspicions about a possible relationship with the Orlandi affair, but they were later dismissed by the experts.
