The National Academy of Education spoke about the use of inclusive language

After noting that “an interacting language never excludes”, the ANE explained that “it subscribes to the criteria set out” by entities such as the RAE when considering “Inclusive styles that complicate both language and its teaching in educational institutions are unnecessary”.

He also warns against “forms which are uncomfortable for the sound common sense of society” and which “do not help to recall the equality of the sexes but, on the contrary, suggest the existence of a rivalry and not of ‘a meeting. Between the two”.

It should be remembered that for a long time the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) called the use of inclusive language “unnecessary”, because “the use of the letter ‘e’ as a supposed gender inclusive mark is foreign to the morphology of Spanish”.

For its part, the Academia Argentina de Letras had also spoken out against its use, stating that “a language, a linguistic body, cannot be invented or reinvented overnight”, according to its president, Ana María Zorrilla.

He also argued that “inclusive language is not a linguistic change: it responds to a socio-political position that is outside the grammatical system. Consequently, none of the twenty-three academies of the Spanish language will be able to legitimize it ”.
