Venezuela's justice has taken action against the so-called "president in charge" of this country. The Supreme Court of Justice, which responds to Nicolás Maduro, banned Juan Guaidó from leaving the country and froze his accounts, when investigated for "usurpation" of duties President Chavez.

The plenary chamber ordered "the ban to leave the country without authorization until the investigation is completed" and the blockade of their accounts, said the President of the Court, Maikel Moreno.

He also accepted "the immobilization of bank accounts or any other financial instrument " that the leader of the opposition has "on Venezuelan territory", added Moreno in a brief statement to the press.

The highest Venezuelan judicial authority has thus resolved an order of the Attorney General, Chavez Tarek William Saab. The official had taken several measures against Guaidó, although he did not ask to be imprisoned.

The day Guaidó is self-proclaimed "president in charge", the Constitutional Chamber of the Court had urged the prosecutor's office to "take measures" in an "immediate" manner before the "criminal conduct" of the opposition-controlled Parliament's directive.

After hearing the prosecutor's request to the TSJ, Guaidó said he was not surprised, considering that the measure was part of a chain of "threats" against him and the opposition-majority Parliament, which he is the president.

"I do not reject the threat of a prison, I do not want it to be taken on our side.Nothing new under the sun. Unfortunately, it is a regime that does not respond to Venezuela, the only answer is persecution, repression, "he said.
