In parallel, he increased his income by 24% to 710 million. But its user base has been reduced to 335 million. This is a loss of one million monthly active users compared to the first quarter of the year.

The contraction is a consequence of the purge that she does to eliminate false accounts or abusively used. But the badysts who follow the company expected a higher figure, higher than 338 million, which has dropped their shares by nearly 20%.

Twitter has already registered a drop in users a year ago. But now, he anticipates the investors who are expecting more cuts, reflecting the challenge that the social network must put in place. A similar situation occurred with Facebook, which saw $ 120 billion in stock market value disappear after falling 20% ​​ in the session, the biggest accident in the history of the parquet.

President Donald Trump went on his own in the social network to criticize Twitter for hiding "illegal" and "discriminatory" accounts badociated with Republican politicians, to silence their opinions.
