In the last few hours, a photo has gone viral on Twitter in which Karen Abudinen, the current Minister of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), is seen with José Guillermo Hernández, or better known as “Ñeñe ‘Hernández, a renowned breeder from northern Colombia, member of the high society of Valledupar and married to María Mónica Urbina, former national beauty queen, murdered in Brazil in 2019.

The image adds to the controversy in which Minister Abudinen is already embroiled for the 70 billion pesos bottled by a contract signed between mentally and the the temporary union of populated centers.

According to several journalists, the photograph was a montage, as Paola Herrera and Mauricio Jaramillo said on Twitter. However, the Colombia Check platform has verified that the image is real and comes from the Instagram profile of former model María Mónica Urbina.

“We asked three family members and friends of members of our team who have followed María Mónica Urbina, Hernández’s wife, on Instagram, to review her profile on this social network, as she has set it up as private”revealed the platform.

The photograph was uploaded by Urbina on August 8, 2018 with a message that reads: “what a great time we had”. This is the party that President Iván Duque offered, on the same day, August 6, 2018, “To his closest friends and to the main funders of his campaign”, according to an article in La Nueva Prensa.

José Félix Lafaurie, Alan García, former president of Peru, and Fernán Martínez were also present at the meeting, which was held at the restaurant Andrés Carne de Res in Bogotá.
