Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will increase by 14.3% in the city of Buenos Aires as of December 1st. Thus, the cubic meter will go from 14 pesos to 16 pesos. Thus, CNG will have accumulated an increase of 65% in one year, with gasoline and diesel.
Increases are related to higher gasoline prices at the wellhead. This is the largest increase since 2002. At the beginning of this year, the price per cubic meter was 9.65 pesos. In the city of Buenos Aires, the value of CNG is 55% cheaper than that of liquid fuels, a difference that is not maintained in the rest of the country.
The highest value is in Santiago del Estero: 23.15 pesos is the price per cubic meter. Meanwhile, Chubut already has the values that will reign in Buenos Aires from next Saturday. Despite these increases, the conversion rate of CNG gasoline cars is maintained. The comparison with October for October showed growth of 71.3%.
