As if there was an animal justice or karma, a bull pulled a part of the scalp of a bullfighter from the Plaza de Arevalo, Spain, and left it there shocked and bleeding
According to the Mundotoro website, the episode occurred this Saturday when the animal took advantage of a fall of Juan José Padilla and with his horn attacked the experienced bullfighter's face.
The native of Jerez, who had already lost an eye in 2011 in Zaragoza after a brutal goring was left without reaction in the floor and had to be helped by his badistants. Then he was transferred to the hospital of Ávila, which ruled out any brain damage.
The Spanish portal says that "Padilla is hurt because of an injury that has reached the skull, even if luckily it was not serious". In the wound they put a drain to prevent possible infections.
Padilla had announced that this season he would withdraw from the activity, although he will do it once he will recover from the injury and return to the ring. "I see no reason not to be in Pamplona," said the bullfighter about the upcoming match.
