Although it does not serve to cool completely when you are in the sun, it helps to keep a cooler body part

Sony has created a small air conditioning unit that can be attached to a shirt to cool it. The device calls Sony Reon Pocket and is a mobile-controlled portable air conditioner that can be discreetly worn on the back to keep clothes and body cool on the hottest days or for the warm up in the winter.

Of a size slightly smaller than that of a smartphone, this miniature air conditioner fits into the inside pocket created in a shirt specifically designed for this purpose. When the device is installed in the folder, the temperature can be adjusted from the mobile. The Sony Reon Pocket allows you to select the cold and the hot.

The device works according to the Peltier effect, thermodynamic principle generally used in cars and wine cellars. The battery can last 90 minutes and requires two hours to fully charge.

And although it does not serve to cool completely when you are in the sun, it helps to keep a cooler body part. In the same way, it can be used to warm up in very cold weather.

The Reon Pocket is the latest product of First Flight, a crowdfunding platform launched by Sony in 2015. First Flight allows employees of the technology company to offer unusual products, before seeking funding, to measure their interest among potential customers

The proposal for the Reon pocket seems to have been much appreciated, as in just a few days it has raised more than $ 275,000 from about 1,800 sponsors. Sony plans to launch the Pocket Reon in 2020, coinciding with the Tokyo Olympics. The Reon shirt is presented with the t-shirt suitable for carrying the device and should sell for around $ 130.
