Hurricane Enrique, category 1 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, continues to progress in the Pacific Ocean and in its wake, its vast bands of cloud stretch over western Mexico, hitting many states.

Some of the most shocking scenes happened in the coastal town of Lázaro Cardenas, Michoacan, where the streets turned into rivers through which the current flowed with force.

In addition, many houses were flooded and hundreds of cars were washed away. Due to the incessant rains, the National Water Commission (Conagua) opened the gates of the La Villita dam, located in this city. The State and the local authorities always carry out the damage count.

Hurricane Enrique’s tentacles also attacked Colima. In the port area of ​​Manzanillo, the sea became rough and water entered urban areas. The National Civil Protection System warned that the cyclone’s cloud bands would continue to hit the coasts of Mexico on Monday, June 28, and therefore issued the following warnings:

* Orange alert or high danger due to approaching cyclone: ​​center, west and south of Nayarit.

* Orange alert or high danger due to the distance of the cyclone: ​​north-west and south-west of Jalisco.

* Yellow alert o moderate danger due to the approaching cyclone: ​​east and north of Nayarit; southern Sinaloa.

* Yellow alert o moderate danger due to a receding cyclone: ​​to the west and center of Colima; south and center of Jalisco.

* Green alert o low danger due to the approach of the cyclone: ​​center and south of Sinaloa; north of Jalisco; south of Durango; south of Zacatecas.

* Green alert or low danger of distance from the cyclone: ​​south and north of Colima; north-west of Michoacán; northeast and southeast of Jalisco.

* Blue alert o minimal danger due to the approach of the cyclone: ​​center-north of Sinaloa; downtown Zacatecas, west and downtown Durango; west, center and south of Aguascalientes, south of Baja California Sur.

* Blue alert or minimal danger of a moving cyclone: ​​center, north, south-east, south-west, south and west of Michoacán.

According to the report published by the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the center of Hurricane Enrique was located at 10:00 a.m. on Monday near the coast of Jalisco, 105 kilometers west of Cabo Corrientes.
