Images of the suicide of a worker of Chinese steel giant Baogang Group, who decided to jump into a furnace to melt metals after losing large sums of money on the stock market.

The footage was recorded by security cameras at the factory in the Chinese city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia region. Wang Long, The 34-year-old approached the edge of a huge furnace only to throw himself into the molten steel later, unable to cope with the debts that plagued him.

Long had disappeared on March 24, when it was night. The Baogang State Group organized an unsuccessful search operation, until they examined the video from the surveillance cameras.

Wang had a long history of buying futures and stocks through companies that trade on the stock markets. On the day he committed suicide, he had lost over 60,000 yuan (approximately $ 9,160).
