Thousands of protesters still camped around Khartoum's main military complex since last Saturday to ask for the resignation of Al Bashir. "We call on the people of the capital Khartoum and its environs to go immediately to the demonstrations sector and not to leave before the publication of our next communiqué", said the Sudanese Professionals Association, in reaction to the military statement.
