Australia is suffering one of the worst floods in decades. Heavy rains forced the evacuation of more than 18 thousand people and 35 isolated localities. However, what is already a horror film, added a new chapter: thousands of spiders have invaded the houses of the inhabitants.

This is what could be recorded in different regions of the country. The animals flee the places most affected by overflowing rivers to take refuge in higher points and thus avoid certain death. Shortly after noon, NSW Police reported the discovery of a body inside a submerged vehicle in the town of Glenorie, northwest of Sydney, one of the areas hardest hit by the natural disaster.

“You have to take into account that thousands and thousands of people continue to receive evacuation advisories, rivers will continue to grow and basins will continue to experience water flows not seen in a century,” said the Head of Government of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian.

As evacuations and resupply take place in communities that remain isolated by the rains, In other locations, cleanup and damage assessment work begins.
