The woman interviewed on the television news assured that the deceased they did not receive adequate treatment, which made the situation worse.

The woman took the opportunity to send a message to people who do not believe the virus is serious:
“We must not be afraid, people must eat well. If you have a small symptom, even if it’s not COVID, start taking care of yourself. They must also take care of the Colombian health system ”.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported, this Sunday, it recorded 26,265 new cases of covid-19 in Colombia. In the last 24 hours, 120,506 tests were performed, including 55,950 PCR and 46,556 antigens.
The report also states that 582 Colombians have died of the disease in the past 24 hours. Thus, the country has reached a total of 108,896 deaths from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
On July 4, the Ministry of Health announced that Colombians with comorbidities that fall under the Decree 630 of 2021 can be vaccinated against covid-19 without having to appear in the My Vaccine app.
The Health portfolio issued Decree 744 of 2021, which modifies the National Vaccination Plan against covid-19, with which it seeks to eliminate administrative barriers in terms of making appointments and identifying the population. to be vaccinated, especially patients with co-morbidities. .
Director of Epidemiology and demography of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Julián Fernández, explained that this update was given “recognizing the need to move forward in the coverage of all people with priority morbidities”.
For this reason, on the date, “all people with priority morbidities, defined in Decree 630 of 2021, they can go to vaccination points to be vaccinated, showing only your identity document, whether it is a citizenship or immigration card or a special residence permit, accompanied by a medical certificate showing the diagnosis of morbidity or the state of health, ”he assured.
The medical certificate must be endorsed by a health professional, with his respective health record, since it is he who will assume responsibility for the veracity of the report made. This can be requested from the EPS, as an outpatient or from a private doctor.
