A magic trick that has become a tragedy. The Indian illusionist Chanchal Lahiri, known by his artist name "Jadugar Mandrake", was overwhelmed this Sunday in the Ganges totally chained to prove that he could break free quickly. However, once they have thrown it into the water, bound hand and foot faded away.

According to local media reports, the illusionist has been thrown into the river after a crane in front of family members, the press and the police, who were waiting for the show.

But the 40 – year – old man has never emerged from the water. Since then, the authorities they seek it without success. Up to now, 36 hours have pbaded without anyone knowing where he was.

Before starting his show, Lahiri explained that he had achieved the same feat 21 years ago at the same place. "I I was chained in a glbad cage and I jumped into the Howrah Bridge water. I died alone 29 seconds to leave, "he recalled.

Despite this success, the magician admitted that this time, the turn would be more difficult. "If I free myself, it will be magic. If I do not succeed, it will be tragic", he advanced to his audience.

A few minutes after jumping into the water, the audience began to worry because it was not coming out. Immediately, the emergency teams approached the area to begin the search operation. Witnesses they said they saw trying to get rid of the chains and ask for help.

In 2013, Lahiri had played in a scandal when he had tried to do the same thing, but had been caught cheating. The illusionist plunged into a cage, but the public began to insult him by seeing that had an exit door in the structure.
