The truck crashed in the United States, where 10 Mexicans died, went through a hole in the border fence

The segment of the affected border fence is over 5 meters high (18 feet), it is constructed with steel bars. Border patrol reports state that it is observed that the cut of the fence leaves an opening which would allow the passage of vehicles.

The North American authorities counted 44 people who crossed the border through the hole in the wall, estimated at least 10 Mexicans and 2 people of Guatemalan origin. The 25 people in the Ford truck are added to the number of migrants who have taken this route.

In Mexico, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs was responsible for confirming the deaths of 10 Mexicans. The agency said it would coordinate actions with US authorities to support the injured and send them to the country.
