The note indicated that Goldpharma is physically based in Buenos Aires, although it operates virtually through websites selling many legal drugs. like other illegal immigrants without a prescription.

Five Argentines sanctioned by the Treasury have been charged by a Wisconsin court for their role in that company. They are Conrado Adolfo Frenzel, Jorge Alejandro Paura, Luciano Brunetti, Lucas Daniel Paura and Santiago Videmato. While the other three, Sergio David Ferrari, Gastón Tomaghelli and Roberto Javier Santoro Perez are suspected of money laundering activities.

The other entities designated by the United States Government are related to the pharmaceutical company in their operations in other parts of the world and some of them operate independently. under the auspices of "Smile Group", with subsidiaries in Colombia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Netherlands.
