The Venezuelan opposition has ratified its commitment to continue the process of dialogue with the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro

The Venezuelan opposition ratified the Venezuelans, the facilitation of the Kingdom of Norway and the countries accompanying the dialogue process, their commitment to continue the work accomplished in Mexico.

By a declaration, the Unitary Platform expressed its willingness to participate in the process, after the suspension of the third day of meetings due to Chavismo’s absence.

“We are in Mexico with the objective of making progress on the constitution of the Social Attention Table promote infant nutrition, transplantation and vaccination programs, among other equally important, ”said the text published this Friday evening.

“We are here to open the debate on the construction of justice. Venezuela is a country with a kidnapped justice that persecutes and imprisons dissidents and promotes impunity. Saving it is a fundamental requirement to recover our rights; give back to Venezuelans the power to choose and regain democracy, which is our fundamental objective, ”he said.

In the text, the opposition said it was “facing the country”, in the absence of the regime’s delegation on Friday. “The delegation of the Unitary Platform reiterates its commitment to move forward in this process, always within the framework of the rules previously agreed in the memorandum of understanding.

“From the start, we have been committed to conducting ourselves with transparency and to informing the country in a timely manner, and we will do so throughout this cycle and throughout the process,” he said.

Two sources related to the process who requested anonymity for not being allowed to make confirmed statements to the agency PA that the first session of the third round has been suspended and should resume on Saturday, when representatives of the government of President Nicolás Maduro arrive in the Mexican capital.

After confirming the suspension at the start of the third day, the vice-president of the Chavista regime, Delcy Rodriguez, posted a message on his Twitter account criticizing US Ambassador to Venezuela James Story.
