A total of 25.2 million voters come this Sunday to vote for the next president of Peru for the period 2021-2026, among the candidates Pedro Castillo and Keiko Fujimori, after the opening of polling stations nationally and abroad.

He also took advantage of his brief address to call each of his fellow “mature” colleagues to approach the day, as well as to apologize for the “objections, problems and comments” made during the campaign that “hurt someone or open up susceptibilities ”.
About 24.2 million voters will vote at 83,048 polling stations across the country, while 997,033 voters are allowed to vote abroad at 3,440 tables.
The greatest number of tables abroad will settle in America (2,253) and Europe (1,012) while in Asia 146 should be installed, in Oceania 24 and in Africa 5 tables.
The start of the voting act was scheduled for 7:00 a.m., but the first voting table was installed at 4h55 at the José Carlos Mariátegui school, located in the district of Paucarpata, in the province of Arequipa, the southern Andean region of the same name.

Castillo of the left-wing Peru Libre will vote in his native Cajamarca, then travel to Lima to await the official results, while right-wing Fujimori will vote in the afternoon in the Peruvian capital, where he resides.
