The "yellow vests" manifest again in France after the announcement of Macron

Two days after the announcements of President Emmanuel Macron in response to the social crisis in France, the "yellow vests" are mobilized again this Saturday with eventsmainly in Paris and Strasbourg, seat of the European Parliament.

For five months, the "yellow vests" claim every Saturday more social justice and tax in the street, in demonstrations sometimes strewn with violence. Thursday evening, the French president announced at a press conference a set of measures to increase the purchasing power of the middle and poorer clbades, including low taxes or indexing of small pensions depending on inflation.

In the French capital, thousands of protesters – summoned by the CGT and the "yellow vests" – took Boulevard Montparnbade in the morning to give a "general answer" to the government.

In Strasbourg, this 24th Saturday of mobilization, several hundred "yellow vests" appeared and incidents were recorded.

Pascal Harter, a retired 58-year-old, said there was "nothing concrete" in Macron's ads. "That gave me more reasons" to demonstrate, the man told AFP.

The prefecture of Bas-Rhin (north-east) banned demonstrations in parts of the historic city center, as well as in the station and near the European institutions.

In Toulouse (south-west), a demonstration was held in the city center, while demonstrations on the Capitol Square in the historic center were banned again. In Lille (north), Rennes (west) or Rouen (north-west), demonstrations were also banned in city centers.
