The yoga fever has reached the G20: the Indian Prime Minister heads a meeting with thousands of neighbors – 11/29/2018

In the midst of the stress and chaos badociated with transit at the G20 summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading a yoga event in La Rural in front of thousands of neighbors.

The meeting is an initiative of the organization The Art of Living with the Indian government, with the aim of spreading the benefits of this millenarian practice that is adding more and more followers to the country.

Monday to Friday morning

With the "yoga mat" and the blankets spread out on the floor of the ocher pavilion of the exhibition grounds, thousands of neighbors could do stretching and yoga postures, guided by volunteers of the foundation.

After 18:30, the Prime Minister made his entrance and sang the "Om" with the gifts, while listening to mantras, thousand-year-old sounds of India. He also attended typical dances of India and lived closely with the participation of Patricia Sosa on the main stage.

The Indian leader, who promoted the United Nations Yoga Day (June 21) and established a yoga ministry in his country, called for "raising awareness of world peace through this practice".

Modi was born on September 17, 1950 and, almost 64 years later, he became the strongman of the second most populous country in the world, home to 1,300 million people.

He has a degree and a master's degree in political science, is sober and vegetarian.

Narendra Modi has been in power in India for over 4 years. The latest Pew Research image gives it 88% approval, with 69% rating it "very favorably".
