The young man died near a lawn mower – 27/11/2018

Carlos Ariel Corvera was arrested in July. He had wanted to steal a lawnmower and they caught him. He crossed several police stations, but spent the last three weeks of his life in section 3 of Transradio, in Esteban Echeverría, south of Conurbano. Just the one who caught fire in the most tragic fire from the history of the province of Buenos Aires.

Corvera was 25 years old and when the fire took place on November 15, he was driven directly from the dungeon to Eurnekian Hospital in Ezeiza. He remained in a pharmacological coma and connected to an artificial respirator, in police custody.

Corvera died in the last hours. He became the ninth casualty of the fire police station in Esteban Echeverria, which has already become the biggest tragedy of a police unit in the province of Buenos Aires.

According to official information, Corvera died of burns in the dungeon.

In the past, the young man had been sentenced to a one and a half year sentence of acceptance in the context of an abbreviated trial. That's why, when they caught him for trying to steal the lawn mower, his background has led to being jailed.

Although Corvera died in Ezeiza, Lomas de Zamora's No. 2 Guarantees Court, headed by Javier Maffucci Moore, accepted five families of deadly victims as wounded. It's about Fernando Martín, 33 years old.

At the time there is no police officer charged in the case that investigates the fire. According to the version of the officers responsible for the 27 prisoners, there would have been an attempt at escape and, when they were discovered, they used blankets and blankets to light the fire at a time of supposed attempt of riot.

In the provincial commission of memory, it was denounced: "It is urgent to define the responsibilities of the officers and the authorities of the 3rd police station, as well as the police officers of the department and the political and judicial leaders, taking into account the circumstances and direct acts in this mbadacre and also the illegality of the housing of the detainees in this police station closed by order of the court ".

At the time of the fire, there were 27 prisoners in the 3rd police station of Transradio: 21 of them had already been ordered to be transferred to a prison or prison for their procedural situation.
