Mexican prosecutors said on Sunday that they had found the remains of at least 39 bodies in 20 clandestine graves from the states of Sonora and Jalisco.
In a tomb of a farm in Guadalajara, capital of Jalisco, were found the remains of 12 people in advanced state of decomposition, said sources to the state's attorney general, according to the news agency EFE.
Informants said that in this tomb, discovered last Sunday, the remains of five people were found at the beginning and yesterday those of seven other people were found.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Cajeme, in the state of Sonora, 19 graves have been discovered, with the remains of 27 people (24 men and three women), according to research sources.
This latest discovery took place last Saturday, following a search of the NGO Warriors Buscadorras de Sonora, a group of women of the family of the disappeared, in the rural Valle del Yaqui, challenged by two criminal organizations.
The women were accompanied by a team of 10 investigators and forensic pathologists.
