So economists Nadin Argañaraz and Ariel Barraud of the Argentine Institute of Tax Analysis have baderted in a report on tax collection and pressure.

They felt that "Earnings, VAT and taxes on checks are among those who reported more pesos than expected."

"But the total collection was finally lower than forecast by 68,742 million dollars, mainly in taxes on foreign trade (deductions from exports and customs duties on imports), seconded by the lower collection of social security resources "they said.

They explained that "the acceleration of inflation in the last months of 2018 has resulted in real resource growth in the last quarter lower than expected in a large part of national taxes."

"It is clear that this has had an impact on the evolution of annual data on tax revenues, so it can be seen that in two of the main taxes of the collection structure, such as VAT and social security, the last quarter of 2018 resulted in real falls in its collection above the drop that was already forecast in the case of VAT, "they said.

They stressed that "contributions and contributions not only did not increase the expected 4.5% in real terms for the last quarter of last year, but eventually dropped by 6.5% once inflation has been taken into account ".

"In addition, it stands out once again for resources related to foreign trade, which are expected to increase sharply in the last quarter of the year, but which have not been finally verified," warned the badysts.

They also noted that "the most important differences between the forecasts and what actually occurred during the latter part of the year are concentrated in taxes whose revenues go entirely to the national government" .

"Precisely, if a distinction is made between taxes grouped according to whether some of them are shared or not, we can see that in the group of co-participants (where VAT is the main one, the profits among the main ), the fall in real terms in the last quarter, it was even slightly lower than the budget forecast, "they said.
