They denounce the fact that the government of Nicolás Maduro has blocked the website of volunteers for help in Venezuela

While Nicolás Maduro rejects humanitarian aid, the government has returned to limit access to different sites in Venezuela. This past Monday, hundreds of users indicated that they could not access the volunteers' website for help capture, managed by Juan Guaidó.

Opposition leaders had already denounced last week that CANTV I had redirected the website www.voluntariosxvenezuela.com, in which volunteers are registered, on the portal www.voluntariosvenezuela.com, a website with the same design as the original one but with a database different.

The NetBlocks organization, which monitors blockages at sites around the world, warned that you could not access the Volunteers X Venezuela website. The site does not charge when using the service offered by the state phone company, but it works with other providers.

"This fake page was already there and now they just preferred block the web"he said to AFP Hasler Iglesias, activist of Voluntad Popular, the political party of Guaidó.

The opposition recommended that people wishing to register as volunteers to connect to the website www.voluntariosxvenezuela.com via private telecommunication services or use a VPN, a technology to avoid blockages.

Since the launch of the initiative on February 12, some 600,000 people registered, according to Guaidó, to facilitate the entry into Venezuela of food and medicine shipments sent by the United States to the Colombian city of Cucuta.

The government of Maduro denied the possibility of accepting help, and denounced the American pretext for a future American military intervention. On Thursday, Vice President Delcy Rodriguez had already badured that the aid sent by the United States was "poisoned" and "carcinogenic" and compared it to a "biological weapon".

For its part, Guaidó has asked the armed forces to give way to humanitarian aid despite Maduro's refusal and to ensure that shipments cross the border "yes or yes" on Saturday, 23 February.
