The excavation of a clandestine grave discovered in the Mexican state of Jalisco ended with the appearance of 119 bags with dismembered human remains, state authorities reported Thursday.

A citizen complaint authorized to reach the illegal grave located in a well near the settlement La Primavera, located in the forest of the same name in Zapopan, one of the troubled municipalities of Guadalajara, capital of Jalisco.

We still do not know how many bodies correspond dismembered remains found in the 119 bags. This work will now be entrusted to the experts of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Macedonio Tamez, coordinator of the Jalisco security cabinet, told the media that officially, at least seven complete corpses, 13 incomplete, two were counted isolated heads, in addition to two trunks and other ends.

However, he said it would be the forensic service that would report on the number of bodies and their possible identification.

According to data from the authorities of Jalisco, so far this year, a total of 15 clandestine graves in different types of farms with at least 107 corpses.

The National Fellowship Commission, meanwhile, reported that from December 1, 2018 to August 14 of this year, they were discovered 78 graves in Jalisco.

The state is one of the most represented sites of the cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, and is considered by the Mexican authorities as the largest criminal organization in the country.
