They executed two men who raped and murdered a 12-year-old boy

Wadah Refat and Mohamed Khaled they were executed on a public square in Aden, in Yemen after kidnapping, raping and murdering a child under 12 years old. The execution took place on a public square in the port city, in front of the sight of hundreds of people gathered to witness the execution of the sentence.

In May 2018, Mohamed Saad was intercepted by the men while he was playing in his neighborhood. The baby was dragged to a house where he was raped and killed with a knife.

The authorities also they sentenced a woman who helped kill the victim, although her performance has been postponed because of her maternity and she plans to occur at the end of the badfeeding period.

Yemen is one of the countries in the world where the rate of execution per capita is highest, where many crimes are punishable by death. Executions are only carried out in public places in cases where the crime affects the feelings of the public, as in the case of rape of children.
