They expect progress in May, with US key key

Argentina’s extended facility deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) now depends on what North American officials decide; inside and outside the body led by Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva. Within the Fund, the progress of the signing of the letter of intent with the country, will have the number two Seiji Okamoto as the most responsible and now official leader of the Argentine file: Julie Kozac. They are both American economists, albeit from different backgrounds. The first is a Trumpian legacy. The second fruit of the new branch of structural economists that Georgieva promotes. So far Okamoto has not intervened directly in the negotiations, and everything is concentrated in Kozac.
