Brazilian police dismantled a clandestine automobile factory that manufactured fake products of the Ferrari and Lamborghini brands in the state of Santa Catarina, in the south of the country.

The force confiscated eight replicas of vehicles from the two Italian brands, which would then be sold for between $ 45,000 and $ 60,000, which are much lower values ​​than the original ones, which cost between $ 375,000 and $ 750,000.

The operation took place Monday in the factory of the city of Itajaí, about 100 kilometers from the capital, directed by a father and his son. Both will be charged with the crime against industrial property.

Representatives of luxury brands had contacted the authorities to lodge a complaint.

The cars were badembled by encomienda and announced on the social networks, announced the police. Authorities believe that the factory was one of the country's leading auto counterfeiters.
