Colombian security forces have found the body of Yuddith Alexandra Anaya Pacheco, sister of former and influential prosecutor Yajaira Cáceres Pacheco, with signs of severe beatings and traces of possible strangulation.
The remains of Anaya, 33, were found in the San Martín neighborhood in Bogotá. The young woman would have disappeared for about 12 hours before being murdered, as revealed by the first indications obtained by the agents.
Lawyer Marlos Díaz said the vehicle in which she was allegedly transferred has already been identified, in addition to the last two people who had contact with her. However, the owner of the vehicle assured that on the day of the disappearance, he had lent the car to a relative, according to information from the newspaper “El Tiempo”.
Her sister is known in the region for having carried out several cases related to drug trafficking and the now defunct guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), although for the moment police have said the murder could not be linked to the job. performed by Cáceres at the prosecution.
However, investigations are still ongoing and officers are now investigating the contents of the victim’s mobile, which they managed to access. “In principle, there should be no connection with the role played by her sister, the former prosecutor Yajaira Cáceres, but this cannot be ruled out as she has dealt with very sensitive cases,” said the lawyer.
