A British nurse has been fired for being caught by a colleague while napping at her workplace and patients waiting to be seen.

Raisah Sawati, 33, was found asleep on a bench and wrapped in a blanket while on duty at Fairfield Hospital near Bury, UK.

Another nurse, known as Ms. H, went looking for her four times, but could not locate her. Eventually, she was found asleep in a locker room and was said to have been there for two hours.

The situation, which arose in March 2017, ended this year and the woman was found guilty of misconduct, dishonesty and poor professional performance.

Sawati was fired and said she would appeal the court ruling, according to the British newspaper Daily mail.

They also added that it was not the first irregularity of his career. The doctor also abandoned a patient who died of respiratory failure in a nursing home; he exaggerated his role in treating a baby with cardiac arrest and lied about his qualifications in a job interview.

“They treated me unfairly because it’s my career and I’m an apprentice,” said the young woman, who also said she was sick.
