They found a dead newborn baby inside a dumpster

A man in a street situation yesterday found the lifeless body of a newborn baby in a trash bag thrown into a garbage bin in the Recoleta neighborhood.

The discovery took place Thursday around 16, when the man checked inside the dumpster located near the corner of French streets and Laprida.

After finding the body, which was inside a black nylon bag, gave notice to a neighbor who ran to the fire station located about 50 meters away. Although the body was already dead, a firefighter tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the baby, who still had the umbilical cord and the remains of the placenta.

The same SAME arrived at the scene and verified the death, determining that it could be between 8 and 9 months of gestation.

The 6th Public Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the investigation, and the prosecutor Eduardo Cubría ordered that they appear on the scene of the scientific police of the city of Buenos Aires and that the body be transferred to the Judicial morgue to determine if it can be extract DNA from the placenta.

The cause was originally labeled "Causal Death Investigation".
