Investigators determined that the needle bells rang the day of the fire at 6:04 pm to call the scheduled mbad at this time.

Twelve minutes later, the first smoke alarm was triggered against the cathedral security post and five minutes after the first fire alarm was triggered.

At that time, the evacuation of the faithful began, but as the two security agents responsible for checking the flames did not find them, it was thought that it was a fake warning and they were asked to stay.

According to "Le Canard", the officers were sent to search for fire in an unknown location, information denied by the private security company that manages the monument.

Around 6:30 pm, the alarms sounded again and, at that moment, the faithful were evacuated and, between ten and twenty minutes later, the agents located the fire at the base of the needle.

At 6:51 pm, the two security officers alerted the firefighters who arrived after ten minutes, but found water mouths insufficiently powerful to extinguish a fire that had already taken on significant dimensions. .

The fire-fighting facility, says the weekly, was designed to put out a fire at the beginning, but with the delays on its site, it had already increased too much.

They will only start fighting the flames with the arrival of reinforcements equipped with more powerful pipes, although it is too late to save the cover of Notre Dame.
