One of the videos that transcended social media was the testimony of Miguel, a man of Tabasco origin who lives on the streets and who witnessed the moment of the tragedy. According to the young man, he had just returned from one of his daily days and was with his friends chatting under the bridge of olive trees, a place where he usually spends his nights.

“Yesterday I came to sell my powder bottles near the mines and came back. I was about nine-thirty in bed with my friends, we were talking. It was plus or minus 10 at night when we heard it like an iron thundering, the sidewalk we were lying on was shaking, under the second pillar, where the pots are.

But it was really shaking ugly and thundering and moving and we ran away, we didn’t even pull our covers. When all of a sudden we ran and fell, because the big wrong work came and we saw how the metro went in two. It sank, a horrible despair that I don’t wish on anyone, ”he said.
