Mayor Hector Gay said today that "whatever the alternations of power," renewable energies "have remained and Argentina has conditions."
The President expressed to the press the inauguration of Pampa Energía II Park and the visit of Prince Frederick of Denmark, home of Vestas, one of the key companies of these companies.
"The world is going to turn to cleaner energies, Denmark can contribute a lot to a greener Argentina," said Gay at a site on Provincial Road 51, 20 kilometers from downtown Bahía Blanca.
For Gay, all this "basically implies the confirmation that Bahía Blanca is one of the epicenters of renewable energies".
In this regard, the head of government said that the Danish company was building a warehouse and training center for technicians not only from Bahia, but from the rest of Argentina and even neighboring countries.
According to most graduates of the Universidad Nacional del Sur, 50 people will work there.
With 14 wind turbines, the Pampa Energía II wind farm will contribute 53 megawatts to the national system. It required an investment of more than 70 million US dollars.
The Danish company Vestas has signed an agreement to maintain these wind farms for the next 20 years.
In his speech to businessmen and provincial and national officials, Gay thanked the support provided and was very satisfied with the commitments made.

The capital
"This must be the wind capital of Argentina," said Marcelo Mindlin, director of Pampa Energía, in Bahia Blanca.
"We are giving 150 scholarships in the region and we have set up a renewable energy technician so that he can work in this wind industry," he added. (The new and LU2)
